Vienna, Wien - Day one...

Finding bearings, or losing them more like!

Prater stern (The Big Wheel)

Our apartment sits nicely in the second district not too far from Prater (funfair) and a small walk from the river we would cross to walk into town (first district).

Somehow the graffiti really is art...I love it!

And, the graffiti is everywhere!

We took the scenic route, walking through Augarten and the whole second district into the ninth and beginning a very large anti clockwise walk around the city.

In the ninth district, we saw the odd bar open, but for a Saturday night it was all very quiet.

The old style Viennese trams...Love them!

Nussdorfer Strasse led to Währinger Straße in the seventh and I started to slowly recognize where we were. I had lived the start of my Viennese life here before moving to where were headed - Schottentor and it's great votiv Kirche.

It was great to be back!!!
